The Company
Jardin Tan is our Vietnamese/French venue located at the entrance to the Royal Botanical Gardens in South Yarra. With a focus on sustainability, Jardin Tan uses only the highest quality, ethical products.
We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join the team.
The Role
With an extraordinary focus on customer experience, you will be responsible for management of the venue, business growth and providing every guest with exceptional experience whether they are a first time visitor or enjoy the venue frequently.
You will be responsible for:
- Recruitment, training and development of staff that lead to exceptional guest experiences every time.
- Management of the venue with a focus on the front of house staff management but also acting as the senior lead for our Head Chef to create a cohesive and functional work environment.
- Liaise with the Events team to coordinate and manage a wide range of events on the property from weddings to corporate events etc.
- Creating and delivery great concepts and marketing initiatives with our Marketing team to drive great foot traffic and engagement within the property.
- Management of venue commercials ensuring that wage costs, revenue and forecasting are managed closely and meet required targets.
Our ideal candidate will be a passionate and experience hospitality manager with:
- Experience managing a high volume hospitality venue
- Demonstrated leadership skills that extend to the recruitment of staff and team development
- A fantastic approach to customer service and makes all decisions with the customer experience in mind
- Flexibility to operate within a 7-day roster and maintain momentum within a highly seasonal venue
- Event coordination experience will be ideal and you will have and the ability to liaise with Event Managers to create exceptional experiences for our guests
- Knowledge of food safety and operational practices
- A passion for sustainable produce and living
- An exceptional level of tenacity, energy and accountability.
