We are seeking an experienced and fully qualified chef to work in our busy and dynamic Restaurant. This is a Full-Time opportunity for an enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable person.
Experience
• 2-year relevant work experience
Roles and Duties
• Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
• monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
• discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
• demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
• preparing and cooking food
• explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
• selecting and training staff
• freezing and preserving foods
Skills required:
• Attention to detail;
• Ability to work under pressure;
• Reliable and motivated;
• Good team player;
• Understanding of ingredient preparation
• Have a well-knowledge of:
o Dietary requirements
o Food safety and safe food handling
Annual salary package: $60,000 plus superannuation
