This is your chance for career development with a balanced lifestyle!  Asado Restaurant is recruiting for ALL KITCHEN POSITIONS for our new Argentinean Restaurant brought to you by the team behind San Telmo and Palermo restaurants.

Asado is located in Southbank close to freshwater place, within 5 minutes from Flinders Street station. Asado is the new offspring from the San Telmo group which has rapidly established itself as the best Argentinian food in Melbourne. The group recently opened Palermo on Little Bourke street with a focus on sourcing great produce to create an inspired Argentinian menu, which will take flavours from its strong Italian heritage. A similar style will be launched at Asado, taking more inspiration from the Spanish links in Argentinian cooking. You will be working closely with executive chef Oliver Gould who has successfully launched Palermo and will assist the team in the direction and opening of the new Venue.

We trade 7 days, which provides a flexible working roster of 2 doubles and 3 singles, allowing you the best work/life balance. For the right candidate there will be an opportunity for –

We ask that you have the following prerequisites before applying

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in your position
  • Self organisational skills and have a willingness to be led by the head chef
  • You have had experience in high end, high volume dining
  • You have the ability to adapt to a new cuisine
  • You consider best practise in food handling and managing food costs
  • High motivation, a positive attitude and a team player
  • You take hospitality seriously
