Lasseters is the centre of entertainment in Alice Springs offering guests an integrated resort with deluxe style accommodation rooms, multiple food and beverage outlets, casino, Health Club / Day Spa and an adjacent Convention Centre.   Having recently completed a significant redevelopment programme Lasseters has an enhanced focus on the tourism and hospitality market by providing an exceptional experience to its patrons and guests.

Our portfolio of F&B outlets is wide ranging and supports the enhanced offerings where customers needs remain our top priority.  We have dining options from a la carte, buffet, tapas, healthy optioned and traditional fare that complements our unique setting.   These include:

Our existing food & beverage products are designed to enhance offerings to cater for an inclusive experience for our patrons.  To assist in this objective we are currently recruiting for an experienced Food & Beverage professional to step into the role either Restaurant and / or Bar Manager.

In this role, you will work closely with the General Manager - Food & Beverage to ensure continuous financial improvement across the department, whilst meeting customers' expectations in delivering the best products and service. You are a team player who is strategic in their decisions, proactive in leading their team by providing mentoring, coaching, training and feedback. The applicant will successfully adjust to all kinds of personalities with grace and fairness.

Duties include:
Responsible for the operational direction within venue cluster 
Responsible for the day to day running of shifts and for maintaining the smooth operation of Restaurant and Bar area

Scheduling and managing evening entertainment (DJ's, music) working with Lasseters Marketing department
Ensure customer service is key to delivery of food and beverages
Weekly and monthly reporting to the General Manager - Food and Beverage

Ensuring cost control and rotation
Ensuring wastage is minimised
Responsible for daily administrative duties
Ensure wage costs are in line with budgetary parameters
Organisational skills and great planning of fortnightly and monthly events

Influencing and Persuasiveness to ensure staff are energised to serve at a standard that sets us apart from our competitors

Drive results
Ensure departmental compliance in the delivery of Responsible Service of Alcohol and Anti-Money Laundering legislation

Skills and experience

The successful applicant should:

Hold an RSA Certificate

Understand rosters, budgets, profit/loss concepts and reporting

Have previous experience and skills to successfully perform in the role. Or a willingness to grow and contribute toward this level.

Be Culturally aware

Take time to understand the business including the legislation and licencing requirements

 

This role will involve hours that require attendance during evenings, weekends and public holidays up to and including 6.30am finishes.
