In this role you will be responsible for the performance, profitability and strategic direction of Minor Hotels Food & Beverage operations.  This role is tasked with driving revenue for the Group and establishing department procedures and initiatives that optimise F&B service and operations.

Preferably you will be based on the Sunshine Coast in our modern and central Head Office, this role does however provide the flexibility to be based at one of our CBD locations within Australia.

 

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role includes the following responsibilities;

  • Lead the F&B management team and Head Office F&B team to achieve profitable and successful operations
  • Propose and implement strategic plans to maximise performance, revenue and growth of F&B operations across Minor Hotels
  • Position the F&B outlets to achieve optimal performance and profitability through continuous assessment of industry and market conditions
  • Provide F&B Managers & Hotel Managers with the necessary assistance to achieve annual business plan and budgeted financial results
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for the Group’s F&B department, to ensure consistency and quality in operations and service
  • Effectively open new F&B venues
  • Formulate and coordinate marketing and promotional activity
  • Prepare, evaluate and report on financial budgets and results
  • Identify any emerging trends in operations and financials
  • Source and manage suppliers to F&B
  • Specialist projects
  • Educate, support and motivate Food & Beverage Managers and provide them with the infrastructure and tools to lead their teams
  • Assist the Hotel Managers & Executive Hotel Managers to recruit, train and develop F&B Managers and other key F&B roles
  • Support the growth and development of team members

 

What are we looking for?

  • Culinary qualification - Preferred
  • Four-year business degree or comparable education and relevant experience.
  • Experience developing successful culinary concepts.
  • Extensive experience in progressive Food & Beverage roles (with sufficient experience at an executive level) with proven outcomes managing multiple concepts and outlets.
  • Experience working with local, regional and national vendors.
  • Advanced experience and understanding of hotel and stand-alone restaurant operations.
  • Experience with Restaurant openings.
