COOK – Hanuman Alice

• Full Time Positions based in Alice Springs

The Hanuman Group of restaurants are elegant restaurants serving authentic Asian cuisine (Thai-Indian-Nona). The restaurants pride themselves on the highest standards of customer service and dining experience.

We are currently seeking experienced Cooks who are highly motivated and able to deliver the exceptional quality that Hanuman Restaurants are renowned for.

The positions are full time, back of house and hands on roles.

Essential Requirements:

• At least 3 years' experience as an Indian, Nonya or Thai Cook

• Sound knowledge of food safety

• Flexible working attitude

• Available for a 7 day flexible roster including weekends and nights

• Maintaining records of stock levels

• Food cost control

• Ensuring highest level of customer satisfaction is provided while maintaining high brand standards

Skills required:

• Relevant Cook qualifications

• Experienced and specialised in Indian, Nona or Thai cuisine

• Excellent food hygiene standards

• Excellent communication skills & personal presentation

• Planning and coordinating menus with head chef and management

• Coordinating and managing catering and functions

• High attention to detail and presentation of dishes

• Excellent organisational skills & time management skills

• A hard working, flexible and reliable attitude as well as a friendly disposition

• The ability to learn quickly

• The ability to prioritise workload and work effectively within a busy and fast paced environment

• The ability to work as part of a team with or without supervision

You will be self-driven and demonstrate enthusiasm, passion and an appetite to achieve and succeed.
