Front Office - Reservations and Guest Services (Fulltime)

Quarters at Flinders Hotel is the 40 room award winning boutique hotel located in the heart of Flinders on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. This accommodation facility compliments the first class food and beverage offerings of the Flinders Hotel which includes The Deck Bar & Bistro, Peninsula conferencing & events, Zigis Coastal Bar and Georgie Bass Café & Cookery school.

Quarters offers guests a luxurious and relaxing place to call home while partying, conferencing, playing golf or simply exploring the Mornington Peninsula.

The Front Office sets the bar in delivering excellent customer service at Flinders Hotel. Directly reporting to our Accommodation Manager, you will be part of our dynamic team working together to deliver an exceptional experience to our accommodation guests and all Flinders Hotel customers we come into contact with.

We are a tightly knit, warm and happy team that operate at a consistently high standard as our guests reviews attest.

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Experience in hotel reception check-in/check-out is a MUST, and/or Restaurant Reservations a PLUS.
  • Knowledge of RMS booking system not essential but highly regarded.
  • A strong work ethic.
  • Professional grooming with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Precise time management skills.
  • A desire to excel in guest satisfaction.
  • Flexibility to work on a 7 day rotating roster.

The main responsibilities of the role are:

  • Welcoming guests on arrival; check-in/check-out and providing assistance for the duration of their stay.
  • Phone and email reservations using RMS booking system and restaurant reservation system.
  • Providing concierge services such as transport and luggage assistance; dining recommendations in the Hotel; cookery classes; local attractions etc.
  • Dealing with internal and external telephone enquiries.
  • Ensuring safety and security for guests and staff.
  • Professionalism and polite nature at all times.
  • Cash handling, EFTPOS transactions and daily financial reporting.
  • General administrative duties.
