The Position
We are looking for an experienced Pastry Chef to join our Restaurant Associates team who are based onsite in the corporate Westpac building in Barangaroo.
Our Chefs are responsible for:
- Contributing to menu development and production
- Food quality, presentation and service
- Contributing to a productive work environment and providing support to other team members as required
- Accountability for their section including prep, daily set up, pack down, cleaning, ordering and service
- Food hygiene, sanitation and safety
- Focus on cost control and waste minimisation
The ideal candidate will have longevity in previous Pastry Chef positions and have a real creative flair.
The Person
- Trade Qualified Pastry Chef
- Team player and able to work autonomously and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive outlook and professional manner
- Prior experience in a high paced & high quality a la carte environment
- Excellent and Innovative culinary skills
- Be motivated by a passion for quality and great service delivery
- Solid knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
