About the Job
The heart of the Aurrum hospitality ethos, is to ensure the resident's genuine care and comfort through a high quality dining experience each and every day.
All cuisine served in Aurrum's dining room's is prepared 'from scratch' in our onsite kitchens using quality produce sourced fresh, locally and in season. Aurrum's passionate chefs prepare a variety of dishes each day for the residents, using a range of healthy cooking techniques and recipes inspired by Aurrum's food ambassador and TV chef, Karen Martini. The dining room service is warm, relaxed yet refined in ambience and in line with Aurrum's 'gold standard' of care.
Reporting to a Chef Manager, you will work as part of a dynamic kitchen team that is instrumental to Aurrum's food focused culture.

The Role
As a Food Service Assistant you will:
- Embody and promote Aurrum's food philosophy, providing choice to residents and improve their lives through food and food service
- Assist Chefs in our dining operations across breakfast, lunch and dinner service as well as special functions and lifestyle activities
- Be reliable, self-motivated and a team oriented professional
- Assist chefs to ensure excellence of the menu delivery to ensure the highest standards of quality
- Assist the chefs in inventory control measures to minimise food wastage and spoilage
- Assist Chefs to ensure the kitchen meets all safety, regulatory and professional compliance standards
About You
As the ideal candidate, you will have:
- Experience in working in catering operations in high quality hospitality venues
- Food handling qualification (desirable)
- Experience and understanding in the field of dietetics, nutrition and allergen management
- Appreciation for the complex care needs of older people from diverse backgrounds
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- Sound computer and documentation skills
- A current and valid Police Check
