The Role
Due to an internal move our Perth Airport Park is now looking for some assistance to help manage the park.
A Discovery Parks Assistant Manager lives on site and is responsible for contributing to all management and business activities conducted throughout the park. You will need to be able to roll your sleeves up and get busy supporting the Manager. Our Park is predominantly a workforce park with an on-site dining hall. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering unique in-park experiences
- Providing ongoing support to the Park Manager
- Supporting staff management, team development and training
- Supporting financial management - operating, reporting, delivering and implementing budgets
- Maximising revenue opportunities
- Supporting asset management
- On-call after hours for late check-ins and emergency calls
The Person
We are looking for:
- Demonstrated skills and experience in hospitality management
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Proven and demonstrated experience in managing, developing and training staff
- Strong computer skills, especially in the MS Office suite
- A good understanding of yield management
- Good business networking experience
- Knowledge and understanding of WHS and responsibilities
- Previous experience with RMS or similar reservations systems
Remuneration
A competitive salary will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience. In addition Discovery Parks will also provide live-in accommodation and additional benefits.
