Well established and busy Ballarat venue seeks the services of an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. Reporting to the General Manager you will need the ability and experience to assume full responsibility for the successful running, management and performance of the kitchen on a daily basis.
The successful applicant will be hands on & lead from the front, providing a quality and consistent product to our customers.
The position is offered as Salaried and will be commensurate with experience
- Have a confident cooking style with an emphasis on quality and presentation
- Have previous experience in either a Head Chef, or Sous Chef role and have led a kitchen team
- Be a hands on, hardworking leader with excellent management and communication skills
- Be trade certified
- Have excellent organizational and time management skills and work well under pressure
- Have experience in menu design, costing, rostering and stock control
- Work closely with management and all team members
- Be available to work weekends and split shifts on a weekly basis.
