A rare opportunity has come up to join the hotel's busy and energetic sales team as Conference & Event Sales Manager.

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing the C&E Sales Manager will be responsible for the day to day management of the events sales team as well as managing their own accounts and proactively securing business.

Additional role responsibilities include:

  • Qualify all incoming enquiries & respond to incoming leads
  • Work towards measured KPI targets
  • Reconcile accounts and close Event Folios
  • Assist the DOSM in attending local and interstate Trade Shows
  • Lead and implement new initiatives and identify opportunities in the market. We foster and encourage creativity at QT!
  • Take on new sales projects as directed by the Director of Sales
  • Work closely with Canberra tourism industry bodies in the MICE market to promote Canberra
  • Attend industry functions to promote goodwill and foster good relationships with the industry
  • Maintain a favourable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a co-operative and harmonious working environment
  • Co-ordinate and undertake hotel familiarisation and subsequent entertainment of potential clients

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience in a similar role and a hotel background. An understanding of Opera Sales & Catering is highly desired. We are looking for someone who thinks outside the box and is full of creative flair!
