Ibis Melbourne Little Bourke Street is currently seeking an Assistant Manager to join our professional and dynamic Hotel. Reporting directly to the Hotel Duty Manager with regular access to the Front Office Manager, you primary responsibility is ensuring a high level of guest service at all times across the hotel. 


As part of our Assistant Manager team, your tasks and responsibilities will consist of, but are not limited to the following:

·         Process and assist with check-in, check-out of guests, ensuring all procedures are adhered too.

·         Lead by example when attending to guest requests. Be proactive and resourceful.

·         Be a Heartist with a strong focus on customer service and loyalty.

·         Take initiative to ensure that interactions with our customers are positive and productive.

·         Have the necessary skills and training to actively resolve complaints and challenges presented by customers.

·         Able to work within the Ibis Mission 15 guidelines.

·         Provide guidance, support training and leadership to all employees.

·         Monitor training and offer guidance to employees whilst on shift.

·         Assist in all areas of the hotel during peak times to eliminate potential issues.

·         Responsibility for the health and safety of all patrons, guests and staff members.

Your ability to ‘surprise’ our guests with your natural bright and bubbly customer service style is what sets you apart from the rest. You are naturally a confident person who is able to approach people and initiate conversation along with a strong knowledge of the hotel it’s and surrounding area.

You are able to manage your time and can handle juggling numerous tasks at once but you are still able to follow procedures and maintain a high awareness of security. You have an outcome driven approach to performance and results. Striving to achieve excellence in your field. 

You have experience in Opera and the Microsoft suite. Experience with Resaweb is looked at favourably. Apply First Aid Certificate and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Victoria is required.

You will be available to work varied shifts from early mornings to late evenings, including weekends and Public Holidays as per our business demands. 

The successful candidate will need to consent to a police check and have unlimited work rights in Australia and be flexible to work 38 hours per week. You will have experience in a similar management/Supervisor in hotels
