About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for the role of a Community Manager to join the team at Murdoch University Village on a full time basis. Reporting to the Village Manager, this role will be responsible for providing a level of service to residents by drawing on the functional expertise of the various departments within the business.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Delivers effective sales and marketing strategies to ensure the information that residents receive is accurate.
  • Directly interact with residents face to face and through social media.
  • Act as a key point of contact for residents on all village community issues.
  • Manage and support a residential life program that supports the requirements of CLV’s Live, Learn and Grow framework.
  • In conjunction with the Village Manager oversee the operation of all functions of Village operations.
  • Manage and oversee the effective use of StarRez resident management system.
  • Assist the Village Manager with recruitment needs.
  • Develop and build relationships with residents through social media platforms.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • 2 -3 years’ experience in a leadership role focussed on community management.
  • Demonstrated experience in community development through engagement and social media initiatives.
  • Great communication skills and the ability to work well within a small team.
  • Highly committed to the customer service experience with ability to demonstrate effective leadership skills in a high volume customer service environment.
  • Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, database management systems such as StarRez and web content management systems.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
  • Current National Police Check.
  • Current WA Working with Children Check.
