About the role
The Restaurant Manager of our Venue must be able to achieve the following tasks (but not limited to):
- Lead and direct team members on effective methods, operations and procedures.
- Oversee Front and Back of the House personnel to maintain adequate staffing and minimise overtimes.
- Interview, select, train and evaluate staff
- Skilfully interact with external vendors and suppliers to obtain the best quality in pricing and product range
- Correctly calculate inventory, perform weekly stocktake and order appropriate supplies
- Money handling, including preparation of banking and daily settlements
- Promote a positive atmosphere to guarantee each customer receives exceptional food and service
- Organize special events in the restaurant, including wedding receptions, products promotion and corporate luncheons
- Deal with complaints and regularly check the level of satisfaction of our Customers
- Ensure the cleanliness of Bar, Cool Rooms and back area up to the Health Department Standards
- Prepare for and execute new menu implementation in collaboration with Head Chef
- Liaise with the Director

Skills and experience
- At least 3 years proven experience in hospitality
- Must hold a current WA Approved Managers card and a valid RSA
- Must be available to work day and night shifts as required by the nature of the business
- A strong hospitality background
- Good knowledge of wines, beers and spirits
- High focus on customer service with an eye for detail
- Experience in cash handling and staff management
- Strong team leader with good interpersonal skills
- Neat and tidy appearance
- Positive attitude
An ability to speak an alternate foreign language will be looked at favourably due to the numbers of foreign visitors to our venue.
