We are seeking a Head Baker/Pastry chef for this highly acclaimed inner city client. With a great name on the market for producing the best quality products, they are now looking at expanding the fresh baked offerings. With all the best equipment for the job, they now need a passionate professional to join this successful team.

As the ideal candidate for this role, you will come with a background seeped in knowledge and a passion for baking. Your understanding of the mechanics of bread making, and the organic market is what we seek. In this creative role, you will be asked to produce the best product on the market, and will enjoy a supportive Ownership in this quest.

Ideal Qualities we seek include:

  • Full Responsibility as production manager in the controlling of stock and budgeting production expenses.
  • Creatively introduce new products to the clientele
  • Costing for all items produced
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the bakery

You :

Have a stable career, preferably with inter nation experience in bread and pastry

  • Full understanding of yeast manipulations
  • Experience in Baking with Sour dough's, Organics and all styles of Pastry
  • Have a incredible eye for detail and do not settle for second best
  • Are passionate and want to be part of a growing brand
  • Have full working knowledge of a pertinent products and equipment
  • Full knowledge of all kitchen operations, financial and health and safety
  • Experience in creating batch recipes, product cards, and internal systems
  • Above all, you love what you do, and are passionate in the process
