(comprising salary $217,355 - $240,435, superannuation, leave loading and the value of 2 weeks extra recreation leave)
Potential total Remuneration Package in the vicinity of $463,900 which includes the above Package Range and in addition; salary sacrifice, private practice allowance, second roster allowance and professional development allowance
Top End Mental Health Service - Palmerston

TEMHS is looking for a Senior Specialist Clinician to fill the position of Consultant Psychiatrist. The new Palmerston Regional Hospital will open in 2018 and TEMHS is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to establish a new Team to provide Consultation Liaison and Emergency Department Psychiatry services to the hospital, and Adult Psychiatry services to the Palmerston Community Team. A Registrar will be appointed to the Hospital Team in 2019, the Community Team has a Registrar supporting the Team Clinicians. This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic Consultant to enjoy the rich and varied experiences of the NT and make a solid contribution to the Service.
The successful applicant will have current or be eligible for specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency, with not less than the equivalent of six years full-time service in medical practice as a staff specialist, and either a Fellow of the Australasian Chapter of Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, or international qualification equivalent to the above.
