The Icon Group brings together medical oncology, haematology, radiation oncology and pharmacy to deliver a true end-to-end service for patients.
Icon Cancer Centre at The Valley Private Hospital in Mulgrave was opened earlier this year. The centre provides radiotherapy services to the community and is the first new Victorian centre for Icon Group.
About the role:
The role is for an integral member of the clinical and management team, assisting the Nurse Unit Manager in the course of their duties to ensure effective management and the ongoing development of the unit from an operational perspective.
Your role will be to lead a newly build and enthusiastic team, working with Radiation Oncologists, Radiation Oncology Nurses, Radiation Therapists and support staff in the delivery of patient-centred care with experience in change management as we continue to grow and evolve. You will also have the exciting opportunity to manage a number of key quality initiatives and programs both locally and across the organisation.

Skills & Experience:
- Registered Nurse or Midwife with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Post graduate qualification in oncology and/or leadership and management
- Relevant post registration clinical experience
- Well-developed interpersonal and leadership skills that inspire the trust and confidence required to lead
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Standards for Clinical Excellence and ACHS Accreditation Standards.
- Evidence of a commitment to patient/customer service, clinical governance and quality improvement.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in the speciality of radiation oncology/medical oncology
