The Child and Adolescent Development Service (CAADS) is a multidisciplinary practice committed to supporting the well being of young people and their families. We provide quality assessment and proven interventions (across psychology, speech pathology and occupational therapy) to assist clients to understand and manage a wide range of concerns. We offer a comfortable work environment with a friendly professional team, full reception support and ongoing client referrals.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative psychologist with a keen interest and experience in working with young people and their parents/carers, including children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental concerns.
The position is for two days per week with potential to build hours in accordance with service demand. Postgraduate qualifications in educational and/or developmental psychology would be welcomed, as would previous private practice experience.
The successful applicant will require general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and be eligible for a Medicare Provider Number. Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance is essential. An Australian Business Number (ABN) or willingness to obtain one is also necessary.
Major tasks and responsibilities:
- Providing evidence-based assessment and intervention tailored to the needs of the client
- Providing advice and support to parents/carers
- Preparation of reports and other written communication
- Liaison with referrers and other relevant professionals

- Good capacity to engage and quickly build rapport with children, adolescents and their parents/carers
