About the role:

You will be responsible for providing services to support the pharmacy, including dispensing and general stock management activities. We are looking for a confident experienced technician wishing to develop their skills. Based at St John of God Hospital Murdoch, this fulltime position offers steady hours, Monday to Friday  with the option to work overtime on weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medicines efficiently and to a high standard
• Ensure compliance with the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme where applicable
• Liaise with hospital staff and associated employees as required
• Assists with management of PBS prescriptions
• Training and supervision of other staff within the team
• Participates in processes and initiatives to improve work practices and procedures to improve patient care and departmental outcomes

Skills & Experience:

• Experience with dispensing of medications and the ability to select stock and dispense quickly and accurately. FRED dispense experience desired but not essential
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative but also integrate and cooperate well within a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of hospital staff
• Proven ability to deliver a high standard of customer service
• Ability to address client needs with confidentiality, sensitivity and professionalism
