You will be responsible for:

  • Providing a flexible speech pathology/therapy service across a range of clients with intellectual disabilities.
  • Delivering the service on a day to day basis to our clients and in line with Sunnyfields operating guidelines within the Client's home, community hub, school or in the community
  • Working with individuals and/or groups
  • Ensuring that positive speech therapy support is delivered on a best practice basis
  • Making daily operational recommendations and decisions as required
  • Prepare clinical reports and correspondence on assessment and intervention for key stakeholders and maintain clinical records.
  • Working closely with clients families, carers, external agencies (government and non-government), medical support professionals/clinicians and staff

 

We require you to have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Speech Therapy
  • 2 years demonstrated experience working with Clients in the Disability sector
  • A membership of Speech Pathology Australia
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication, time management and organisational skills
  • The ability to organise and administer your own clinical work practice
  • Ability to conduct Dysphagia Assessment & Treatment as well as experience in alternative & augmentative communication
  • Current Class 'C' Drivers Licence
