We are currently looking for a Deputy Facility Manager/Registered Nurse to join our Tweed Heads team and facility. The facility is a ageing in place 101 bed service.
This role will be appointed on a full time basis and will report directly to the Facility Manager.
The key objective of the DFM role is to provide excellence in clinical leadership across the facility, with a key focus on managing both RN's and Care staff, to ensure excellence in care and service delivery to our residents.
The role will also support the Facility Manager in daily operations of the facility and step up to lead and manage the operation as required.
In this role you will:
- Complete holistic assessments
- Develop appropriate care plans
- Managing a small team of Care Service Employees
- Evaluate and make clinical decisions
- Managing ACFI requirements around assessments, care plans and quality assurance
- and, to improve the quality of life of our Residents.
To be considered you will need the following:
- Relevant Qualifications in Nursing
- Current AHPRA registration
- A minimum of 2-3 years Australian Aged Care experience as an RN or Clinical Care Manager.
- Availability to work a week day am roster, plus on call.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and an empathy with older people
- An understanding of ACFI and quality reporting
