About the Role
Due to the growth of our business, we are seeking to add an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to work with our younger OT's, helping to lead and develop them.
This full time, permanent role provides a fantastic opportunity to be exposed to a vast variety of patient conditions and patient streams, and includes paediatric and adults clients. The case load is community and therapy based, with a strong NDIS focus.
This will be a challenging and rewarding role for the right person, with lots of scope for development and diverse application of your professional skills and experience.
About the Duties
This role will provide services in a number of areas including:
- Functional needs and capacity assessments
- NDIS & Disability assessments and intervention and treatments
- Health and wellbeing assessments
- Workplace and ergonomic assessments
- Develop treatment plans and set goals
- Provide education and make recommendations
- Coordinate treatment with other practitioners
- Establish relationships with clients and other practitioners
About You
- Passionate about providing a quality service and contributing to the overall wellbeing of clients, and achieving sustainable outcomes
- Wanting to lead and develop a team of OTs
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with AHPRA
- Eligible for registration for a Medicare Provider number
- Patience and ability to effectively communicate with clients and build rapport
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proven written and verbal communication skills and clear report writing skills
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
- Proven organisational and time management skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Must provide a Working With Children Check
- Current driver's license and own vehicle
