Permanent, part-time and full-time opportunities

Be part of our brand new facility!

Do you have a strong sense of duty?

Are you driven by purpose and a sense of working for something greater than yourself?

About the role

We are expanding to establish Warwick as a major centre for seniors care in the Southern Downs region and you will be a big part of that. Due to open in August, this brand new 128-bed residential aged care service will complement our existing retirement village, campus community centre and seniors' living units.

You will assist in the 24 hour residential care of both high & low care residents with activities of daily living to improve their independence. Your role will be varied but centred on providing quality personal care and improvement activities such as:

  • Operate under the Positive Wellbeing Model of Care which is a system whereby you will have an allocation of residents each shift.
  • Assisting residents with their mobility to and from activities including meals.
  • Assisting residents to complete their care needs.

You will have access to flexible rostering options to maximise freedom of lifestyle choices and we will offer a variety of contracts and shifts, from casual, to part-time and full-time.

About you

You should really enjoy working with older people and may describe yourself as having a "calling" for the work. Your compassionate and patient nature will ensure that our residents feel valued and cared for. Your experience and qualifications for this role should include:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care; Individual Support or related discipline;
  • Recognised competency in the Administration of Medications to the elderly;
  • Current National Police Certificate or the ability to obtain;
  • Willingness to work a variety of shifts, across a 7 day week, with availability at short notice.

Importantly, you will be someone who closely aligns with our organisational values of: modelling unconditional love; behaving with integrity; and being good stewards.

Who we are

We offer over 200 services in more than 100 communities, positively impacting around 45,000 lives each year. Our care services range from children, youth and family services, early intervention and protection, affordable housing, and seniors and support living, making us one of Australia's largest, most diverse not-for-profit organisations.

In particular, we operate 28 residential aged care services that include specialties such as dementia, palliative and respite care.

Imagine working for us

Our values encourage us to be accepting of differences and embrace all. Our size and variety offers you real choice and opportunities to grow your career. You'll also find we offer a family friendly work culture.

Remuneration packages come complete with salary-packaging benefits that can increase your take-home pay along with a generous five weeks of annual leave and the ability to purchase more (for eligible employees). To ensure your career can grow, we are constantly exploring innovative training and development programs. Most importantly, you will help us to positively impact the lives of thousands of vulnerable Australians. Just imagine that.

Application process

You must be available to attend one of our Assessment Centre at our Warwick Facility on Friday 27th July 2018 or Thursday 2nd August 2018.
