Information - Role, Skills & Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse who not only has a patient and caring disposition but also the ability to perform well under pressure and work cohesively within a team environment.
They need to be highly motivated with a sound background in patient care and be able to adapt to an ever changing environment and industry.
It is desirable that the successful candidate have experience in the General Practice setting and be proficient in:
- Chronic Disease Management and Care Plans
- Health Assessments
- Drug Screening
- Diagnostics - Audio, ECG, Spiro & BP
- Childhood Immunisations
- Ear Irrigation
- Assisting minor procedures
- Wound care.
- Travel Vaccinations
Other duties and desirable proficiencies include but are not limited to:
- Experience with Medical Director and Pracsoft
- General computer use
- Infection Control & Sterilisation
- Recall & Reminder Systems
- Clinical data management for patient initiatives (eg. use of PenCat)
- Accreditation Processes and Compliance
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A commitment to improvement to enhance patient outcomes and care.
- A willingness to implement and adapt to change when required to benefit patients and staff and the practice as a whole.
- Ability to cover sick and holiday leave when required
The position available can be tailored for the right applicant as either Permanent Part-Time or Casual however, the role is for 4 days a week with, as mentioned above, the ability to cover occasional extra days when required for holiday and sick leave. Full-time employment is available for the right applicant.
Pay Rate
The employment level and pay rate will be dependant on the successful applicants qualifications, experience and abilities. The starting rate will be reviewed on succesfull completion of the probation period and then followed up annually.
