St John of God Frankston Rehabilitation Hospital, a vibrant private rehabilitation hospital in Victoria, has 55 inpatient rehabilitation beds and a large outpatient facility.
We have one (1) full time registrar position available for a twelve (12) or one (1) of two (2) six month rotations, commencing Feb 4 2019. The position may be involved in care of cardiorespiratory, neurorehabilitation, orthopaedics, pain management, and rehabilitation of the Aged, depending on availability of physician supervisors and aims and requests of the successful applicants, and all training goals will be aligned to the trainee syllabus.
Each Registrar cares for 20 patients under supervision of Consultant Physicians in Rehabilitation Medicine. The positions are all accredited training positions with the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine.
It is a requirement that each registrar will be part of the AFRM specialist training program (Rehabilitation Medicine) or be joining this program at the commencement of the term. The successful candidates will have at least two years of post-graduate clinical medical experience and Registration with the AHPRA.
Hours: 38 hours per week with an additional 5 hours allocated to training. There is no after hours or on call requirement.
Remuneration is the AMA hourly award rate with 10% added loading plus superannuation. Full salary packaging is available. Medical Indemnity is provided by SJG Healthcare. There is annual leave but no provision for paid study, exam or conference leave, although these can be taken as leave without pay.
