PERMANENT FULL TIME POSITION
South Eastern Private Hospital (SEPH) is a 177 bed facility with a Mental Health, Rehabilitation, Medical/Oncology and Palliative Care focus. We are conveniently located in the South Eastern suburbs at the intersection of Princes Highway & Eastlink in Noble Park.
The vision for SEPH is to be the foremost health facility delivering best practice inpatient and outpatient services in the South Eastern Melbourne corridor.
Opening in August 2016, the service has provided a comprehensive service including 60 inpatient beds, day programs, ECT and TMS suites, as well as psychiatric consulting rooms. To accommodate our growth and continued development, we are seeking an experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join our mental health service . We have a dynamic team working towards a holistic delivery of care. The successful candidate will have management experience, drive and passion for excellence in patient centred care.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Hold a current Nursing Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Qualified Mental Health Nurse
- Minimum 5 years experience in a leadership role
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience with quality management systems
- Able to meet budgeting and KPI targets
- Must have experience of holding a portfolio
- Previous experience of ECT and TMS desirable
- Well developed interpersonal skills to work with a collaborative and team oriented work environment with Executive Team and Visiting VMOs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Well developed computer skills

- Strong focus on recovery model of care, evidence-based nursing care
- Demonstrated high standards of professional and ethical practice
- Excellent collaboration and consultation skills with individuals, groups, significant others and the multidisciplinary health care team

- Promotes safety, security and personal integrity in the work place
- Commitment to develop expertise and undertake further studies
