Medacs are currently recruiting for a Clinical Coding Auditor in Adelaide’s most reputable and innovative teaching hospital. The Clinical Coding Auditor is responsible for managing, co-ordinating and undertaking a continuous audit and quality program for Clinical Coders within the health service, as well as providing feedback and education to the Coding team.
Essential Criteria for this position:
- Qualifications in Health Information Management, Clinical Coding or equivalent (such as completed the HIMAA intermediate/advanced certificates)
- Completion of a Clinical Coding Auditing Certificate
- Experience with Patient Administration Systems
- Thorough working knowledge of experience using ICD-10-AM and Australian Coding Standards
- Prior experience working as a Clinical Coder
- Previous Auditing experience, with exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality processes and improvement
- Ability to communicate effectively to key stakeholders, clinical and non-clinical professionals
