HLGP is currently seeking 1 casual/semi perm medical receptionist for our ever growing General Practice clinic located in the busy area of Werribee, Our clinic has been operating for 6 years servicing the greater Wyndham community, providing a wide range of services including Bulk billed GP visits, health assessments, Diabetes education, Vasectomies, Dermal fillers and much more . This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team of friendly and hardworking individuals, with a focus of delivering great patient service. This is a very busy practice and would suit an applicant able to manage multiple tasks with confidence. Salary will be negotiated depending on experience and skill level and an immediate start is required with approx. 15-20 hrs per week for evenings and weekends mainly.

As a Medical receptionist you will be the first point of contact for the patients and need to create a professional welcoming environment keeping in mind patient confidentiality.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Answering & Directing phones call appropriately  / Dealing with telephone enquiries from other health care providers
  • Front of house reception / Greeting patients upon arrival
  • Processing patient accounts/ Managing patient invoicing and receipting too third party suppliers
  • Use of Best Practice medical software
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Deal with pathology and other healthcare professionals
  • Ability to take direction and ask questions when required
  • Provide quality care and service to patients
  • Ensuring confidentiality and management of patients' needs
  • Prioritizing workload  - able to work under pressure
  • Ability to work to a flexible roster including Saturdays/Sundays and evenings
  • A team player
  • Immaculate presentation
  • Punctuality & reliability
  • Ensuring all relevant documentation is completed in a timely manner
  • Managing the waiting room

  • Strong multitasking capabilities
