About the Practice


The team at CPC look forward to welcoming an engaging, open, flexible and collaborative Clinical Psychologist to join our organisation.

At CPC we enjoy building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients, colleagues and the service as a whole. We understand that the best clinical outcomes are achieved through being responsive to client feedback and using treatments which are best suited to our client's needs. Our team has expertise in CBT, DBT, ACT, CFT, Schema Therapy, Maudsley FBT, Adolescent Focussed Therapy, CBT-E, Family Systems Theory and EMDR. Senior Clinical Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists and Registrars come together for team assessments, complex case review committee meetings, peer consult meetings, supervision, training and mentoring. We established a Comprehensive DBT program in 2010, a CFT group program this year and currently have 14 clinicians working from our Crows Nest and Manly rooms. We are a team based organisation instead of a room hire service.

Role Description
We have 2 FTE Clinical Psychologist positions that are available on a full-time or part-time basis (min two days per week). We understand that everyone has different needs so we offer these roles under either employment or contractor arrangements. To assist you to have the best outcomes with your clients, our Client Services Manager matches clients based on your preferences for ages (kids, teens or adults), presentations, and any client rapport requests.

Essential Criteria
Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology
General registration with AHPRA
Eligibility for registration with Medicare
Open, flexible and collaborative approach to your work with clients, colleagues and organisations
Attentive and highly attuned interpersonal skills, ability to track shifts in affect and comfortability with discussing process issues with clients
Professional in your interactions whilst being engaging, genuine and compassionate
Available to see clients outside of work hours


Desirable Criteria
Approved area of practice - Clinical Psychology with AHPRA
Interest in further developing expertise in DBT and / or CFT individual and group work
Ability to work on Saturday mornings
Knowledge and application of Growth Mindset and/or Deliberate Practice Principles
Customer service experience
