Occupational Therapist
Seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to cover Adult and Paediatric services.The candidate will be responsible for providing services for paediatric clients and Adult clients on NDIS plans.
The Occupational therapist is a member of an inter-disciplinary team and works with children, young people, adults and their families to improve functional capacity and quality of life. The Occupational therapist works closely with the other allied health members of the team, preschool and school staff, and parents to develop evidence based interventions that include proactive, targeted and intensive strategies that can be adapted for learning, home and work place contexts.
About the role:
- Provide home assessments, home modification assessments and recommendations
- Equipment assessments and prescriptions
- Maintaining client independence and safety
- Clinic appointments
- Community and social group skill development
- Development and implementation of individual or group therapy plans
- Identifying and establishing goals set with clients, carers and families
- Development of service therapy plans and reviews
- Sensory exposure and development
What you will need:
- Experience in both young adult and paediatrics is essential
- Ability to start as soon as possible
- Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current AHPRA registration
- Drivers licence
- Valid National Police clearance
- Department for Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI) child-related employment screening prior to being employed
- Be able to handle both caseloads
- RAN - training will be made available to successful applicant
Work hours:
14 - 21 hours per week Senior position $80-$90 per hour
30-38 hours per week Junior position $35-$40 per hour
