Part-time
Salary: $93,833 (Plus 12% Superannuation & 17.5% Leave Loading) pro-rata
The Role
This new position reporting to the Assistant Dean and Coordinator of Nursing programs (KRHA) will act as a mentor, tutor, clinical supervisor and professional role model for students as well as maintaining positive relationships with health care agencies to enhance the students learning experience. Incorporated into the role will also be a teaching and assessment component. Duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with teaching in clinical block weeks
- Facilitate learning opportunities that are relevant to student and clinical unit learning objectives;
- Assisting students with their development of communication, problem solving, clinical and professional skills;
- Monitoring and managing student assessment within clinical healthcare facilities;
- Evaluating student performance.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in the role, you will:
- Have a minimum of 5 years post registration clinical experience;
- Hold a current registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency;
- Be able to demonstrated experience and involvement in the teaching / mentorship and supervision of nursing students;
- Hold a current and unrestricted "C" Class Drivers Licence as you will be required to work off campus and to travel to remote areas of the Kimberley, or other regions.
