About the company:

Vivir Healthcare partner with a number of Hospital and Community Care providers, and are currently seeking passionate and qualified Social Workers to provide mental health services. Our clinicians coordinate a comprehensive range of health care services and interventions to improve health outcomes for our patients and consumers.

About the role:

The primary objective of these positions is to assess, manage and care for patients in line with national and international best practice, while continuing to maintain the safety of the general community.

The responsibilities of the role include:

• Day to day social work within a high secure environment

• Effective social work and welfare service delivery to the clients and their families using a range of clinical and professional interventions

• Case formulation and psycho-social interventions in the management of complex cases

• Provide mental health, social, financial, rehabilitation and behavioural management in the development of more effective interventions

Experience desired:

• At least 2 years post graduation experience, and current registration with AASW

• Demonstrated experience and skills in social work and broad generalist experience

• Psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, trauma counselling, grief and bereavement counselling

• Understanding of current issues impacting on social work and welfare work in an acute hospital setting
