Specific Duties and Responsibilities
3 days a Week
We currently have a vacancy in Newcastle CBD and the surrounding area
- Educate healthcare professionals about the relevant disease(s), the management of those disease(s), the pharmaceutical products and the administration of those pharmaceutical products;
- With their experience & knowledge of the products and programs, be available to promote the services;
- Be part of a national team of nurses who are based in both the central coordinating office and in the field.
- Support, educate and liaise with patients who have been prescribed specified injectable products.
- Manage Injection days in clinic to demonstrate best practice, injection techniques and up-skilling of clinic staff.
Qualifications and Experience
- Registered Nurse (proof of current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) to be provided).
- Minimum 5 years experience in patient management. Mental Health experience is essential, and recent related roles in either Hospital or Community Mental Health Clinics would be highly regarded. Clinical trial and pharmaceutical industry experience preferred but not essential.
- This is a wonderful role that will make a difference in a therapeutic area of high need. You will have the opportunity to provided education to Healthcare professionals, establish protocols in clinics that are focused on patient care and gives you an opportunity to work in a commercial environment.
The Salary package is for 3 days per week and total salary package above includes gross salary, super and a car allowance.
The company has other potential roles outside Mental Health. If you are also interested in learning about new therapeutic areas and providing patient education services, there may be the potential to increase the scope of this role to 4 or even 5 days per week.
