Albury Wodonga Health is seeking to appoint an Emergency Department Endorsed and/ or Nurse Practitioner Candidate to join our Emergency teams. There are two positions available to support our busy Emergency Department's that will be well supported by inter-departmental resources including FACEM mentor, clinical and professional mentors, and AWH Nurse Practitioner mentor support program. AWH offers full orientation and training, salary packaging and the opportunity to be a part of a supportive and friendly team within a growing organisation.
Candidates meeting the following mandatory criteria are encouraged to apply:
- Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA) as a registered nurse
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing
- Post Graduate Certificate in Emergency Nursing,
- Minimum of 5 years full time equivalent (FTE) clinical experience as a registered nurse of which at least three years FTE is in the Emergency speciality area
- Enrolment in Tertiary level Master's Course (Nurse Practitioner) or ability to do so
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-focused care;
- Ability to work as a team member within a multidisciplinary environment;
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and strong desire to extend leadership skills;
- Applications from staff wishing to work Part –time will be considered
Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the Public Health System Nurses and Midwives (state) Award 2017 NSW
Successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate Criminal Record Screening paperwork/processes in order for AWH to meet its obligations regarding screening for serious criminal offences (within and external to Australia). Applicants unable to commit to this screening process should not submit an application for employment.
Successful applicants will be required to complete mandatory orientation modules using the AWH e-learning system prior to commencing employment.
