About the business
Epping Private Hospital is a brand new 24 overnight bed hospital in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne. We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable casual staff to join our dynamic Catering Team.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Hours may include weekends, public holidays and shift work between core hours of 6:30am to 6:00pm
This is a true casual position, so you must be flexible in your availability and be willing to work in a variety of areas within the hospital.
The successful applicant will be required to provide evidence of current immunization status.
The Food Services Assistant is responsible for food preparation, meal assembly and delivery of patient meals, the serving of beverages and mid meal items, collection and cleaning of patient's trays and meal utensils and assists with cleaning of all food service equipment.
Skills and experience
- Current Food Hygiene certificate
- Good knowledge of Manual Handling and OH&S guidelines
- Flexibility in working hours
- Understanding of special dietary requirements.
- Experience in healthcare environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and work autonomy.
- Current Police record check
