About the role...
As an Intake Clinician you will be responsible for the intake and triage assessment, treatment and evaluation of people experiencing mental health concerns to achieve better health outcomes seeking to access primary care, mental healthcare, alcohol and drug services and social, educational and vocational services.
As part of Aftercare's Floresco team you will:
- Deliver contemporary level of mental health and psychosocial assessment, treatment and evaluation including risk assessments
- Provide brief interventions, crisis management and psychoeducation to the person, family and carers
- Participate as a member of the mental health team in providing comprehensive individual and group work interventions as required
The Right Fit...
This role would suit someone with a Clinical Intake and Assessment background. The successful candidate will have:
- Tertiary degree qualification from an accredited tertiary institution in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Psychology or Nursing
- Registration with APHRA , AASW or other registered professional body
- Experience working with adults who experience mental health, social, vocational, drug and alcohol issues
- Have knowledge of the rationale, principles and evidence for recovery framework
- Demonstrated experience and excellent clinical skills in comprehensive screening/intake/assessment
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
