An opportunity is available for a Senior Physiotherapist to join our Allied Health team on a permanent full-time basis.

The continued vision of our Physiotherapy team is to be dynamic and enthusiastic, providing tailored care to enrich the lives of our residents.

The core aim of this role is to support our Residents to maintain or improve their sense of wellbeing and functional independence.

As a Physiotherapist at Montefiore you will encourage all Residents to continue to be physically active through a range of exercise programs and interventions, including aquatic physiotherapy (hydrotherapy).

You will also be involved in providing rehabilitation, pain management and falls prevention programs as well as advice and prescription of mobility aids, hip protectors and splints. 

This role forms an integral part of our large inter-disciplinary team.

Essential criteria:

• Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy with current registration with AHPRA
• A minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience work as a Physiotherapist
• Ability to lead and manage staff
• Efficient time management and priority setting skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Effective interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work well within a team
• Demonstrated ability to effectively work independently

Desirable Criteria:

• Previous Aged Care experience
• Previous involvement with falls prevention programs and management
• Experience with providing effective Pain management
• Aquatic Therapy experience
• Experience with complex case management
• Have you own transportation with the ability to travel between our four campuses if required.
