About The Role
An established Multidisciplinary Allied health service based in the Wide Bay Burnett Region has an opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join them.
In this role you will be join a leading provider of therapy services to the elderly, in both clinic and community based settings.
You will be responsible for the provision of a high standard of services to eligible in the community. Clients will either require stand-alone treatment or will be treated within a multi-disciplinary team.
Your case load will be rehabilitation focused and will require knowledge in the provision of equipment prescription, minor home modifications, upper limb therapy, retraining of activities of daily living, complex pain management, oedema management, cognitive assessment/retraining and delivering manual handling training to family and care providers.
You would be required to complete ACFI within aged care facilities as well as community based rehabilitation and general OT home visits.
The caseload is extremely varied (and stimulating) and includes referrals under a range of Government and private funded clients.
Essential Criteria
- Formal qualifications as an Occupational Therapist
- Full registration with AHPRA
- Minimum 1 Year clinical experience
- Previous Aged Care/Pain Management experience preferred
- Full current driving licence & Working with Childrens Check
- Current National Police Certificate
- Exceptional communication, analytical and time management skills
