WA Primary Health Alliance (WAPHA) is the peak planning and commissioning body for primary health care services in Western Australia (WA).
We oversee the strategic commissioning functions WA's three Primary Health Networks: Perth North, Perth South and Country WA.
WAPHA's primary objective is to improve health outcomes and patient experiences through the commissioning of appropriate services where they are most needed.
The role
We are seeking two Project Officers who will supports the Country PHN Manager and Metro PHN Manager in the delivery of projects and significant workflows that contribute to the implementation of WAPHAs strategic and operational plans.
Responsibilities and duties include but not limited to:
- Support the PHN Manager to develop, mobilise and implement as necessary key projects and/or significant workflows that support WAPHAs strategic plan;
- In consultation with the PHN Manager, develop policies and procedures to support projects;
- Ensure regular communication about projects with internal and external stakeholders, as required;
- Develop project plans;
- Monitor progress of projects in line with the project plans;
- Act as the project lead to nominated projects, as required and directed by the PHN Manager
- Assist the PHN Manager in the evaluation of each project;
- Other duties as required and directed by the General Manager Place-Based Commissioning and Engagement.
About you
The successful candidate will meet the following selection criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in health or human services or equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation.
- Excellent report writing skills;
- Demonstrated planning or project management skills with the ability to undertake a variety of planning, improvement, audit and quality related projects and to provide effective project governance (toolkit);
- Clinical knowledge and skills in mental health and /or Chronic Conditions
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to develop strategies, ideas and opportunities for resolving issues;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team orientation;
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet objectives within appropriate timeframes;
- Proficiency with/literacy of information and communication technology including desktop, word processing, software packages and spreadsheets;
- Knowledge / understanding of the primary health care environment, including State/Federal roles in primary health care. (Desirable)
- Knowledge and interest in mental health, Psychosocial support and Chronic Conditions (Desirable)
