Gryphon Psychology is recruiting for a full time Psychologist for our regional head office in Mackay which provides services locally and within the greater region including our Moranbah office. We are seeking an experienced, flexible and team oriented Clinical or General Psychologist to provide clinical services, training and onsite critical incident responses. If you are an exceptional, versatile and dynamic psychologist with life experience who is able to adapt to the needs of our clients, we are interested in meeting you.
Duties include counselling and assessment for individual clients, undertaking fitness for work and other assessments, providing manager support and training for work teams and responding to critical incidents.
The role:
- Counselling - diverse range of presenting issues including relationship; child development;
- Assessment - psychometric; insurance; fitness for work.
- Short term solution focussed support across the ages
- Ability to respond flexibly to demands for Critical Incident support in Mackay, Bowen Basin Mining Region and Interstate
- Delivery of Training programs such as Peer Support; Mental Health in the Workplace; & Suicide Prevention.
- Report writing - Workcover; Fitness for Work; Insurance.
The person:
- Registration with APHRA
- Eligibility to register with Medicare
- Highly motivated and flexible in your work attitude
- Capacity to work independently, problem solve and relate to very diverse client groups
- Good communications skills - written and verbal
- Experience in private practice (not essential)
- Client focused
- Time management skills
The fulltime role is based on a 38-hour week, however there may be extra hours included dependent upon the work load and the requirements of the client. Excellent financial incentives as well as TOIL is available for additional hours worked above the standard week. Gryphon Psychology provides internal supervision and professional development opportunities.
