The Mental Health Program (MHP) is recruiting a Personal Assistant to support the Program Director and Associate Program Directors within the program. This provides a great opportunity for a professional and motivated individual to provide high level administrative and secretarial support to the service. Eastern Health operates from many different locations; our largest sites include Angliss Hospital, Box Hill Hospital, Healesville and District Hospital, Maroondah Hospital, Peter James Centre, Turning Point Alcohol and Drug Centre, Wantirna Health, Yarra Ranges Health, Yarra Valley Community Health. The successful applicant will have up to date computerised office systems and software packages and the ability to demonstrate initiative and streamline systems. It is important that you are able to enact excellent time management skills and ability to work to set time frames. It is an expectation that you will have well-developed verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills including a supportive and compassionate disposition toward our consumers and staff members. To be successful in this role you should possess: Essential Working knowledge of CMI and other health information systems; Previous experience working in public mental health services; Previous experience in supervising staff; Previous experience in developing and delivering training and education; Effective and appropriate written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal communication techniques; Understanding of customer service of internal and external customers and be committed to effectively meet their needs in a helpful and professional manner; Time management capabilities and ability to work to a deadline; Ability to manage self and others in order to meet deadlines; Ability to work well with staff at all levels; Ability to review own performance to enhance and improve in assigned duties; Demonstrated planning and organisational skills; Demonstrated behaviour that promotes team work; Demonstrated ability to learn and develop; Possess good negotiation skills and conflict resolution skills; Commitment to quality improvement; Able to identify problems and suggest a solution; Ability to work independently and to prioritise work requirements; Competency in utilising word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, database and web applications; Has a co-operative and non-adversarial communication technique; Knowledge of Freedom of Information Act 1982 and medico legal principles - Mental Health Act 2014; Knowledge of Victorian and Commonwealth statutory reporting requirements; Current Victorian drivers licence Eastern Health offers a variety of fantastic Employee Benefits, view the extensive range here!
