Practice Nurse RN – Erina NSW Central Coast
Your Family Doctors at Erina is a well-established Accredited Family Medical Practice with a strong team-based environment and an absolute commitment to the provision of good quality medical care through all stages of life. We have 12 GPs including registrars and believe in working collaboratively with our clinical and administrative teams to strive for excellence and provide progressive health care services.
We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, and friendly Registered Nurse to join our dynamic and well established team of two RN's. This position is a three month contract, with the possibility of contract renewal. Hours are negotiable but flexibility to cover for sick leave and annual leave is a must.
Essential:
- Appropriate tertiary qualification & AHPRA registration (Division 1).
- Professional Indemnity cover as per APHRA requirements.
- Minimum of one year’s nursing experience, preferably in General Practice.
- Demonstrated understanding of the needs of general practice and interest in primary health nursing including patient education and health promotion.
- Knowledge of current Immunisation Schedules, Chronic Disease Management, infection control, CPR and emergency resuscitation techniques, equipment & drugs
- Flexibility and commitment to assist with occasional holiday/leave cover
- Evidence of continuing education
- Current NSW Drivers Licence, to enable home visits.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Conducting home visits and home-based health assessments, triage, immunisations and other injections; wound management, health assessments; chronic disease management, ECG’s; spirometry & ear syringing
- Following up on patient results and recalls
- Assist doctors with clinical procedures.
- Maintain clinical documentation.
