We have an exciting opportunity for a TSS Management Accountant (Month End Cord) to be a part of our Financial Workplace Services team within Transport for NSW. This role plays a key part in making NSW a better place to live, work and visit.

The TSS Management Accountant (Month End Cord) role coordinates, facilitates and manages the End of Month activities, schedule and Closing Cockpit for the agencies across the Transport Cluster. The position provides timely reports to Executives and Managers reflecting critical month end activity analysis against objectives and targets. The role involves working closely with key stake holders including Centre of Excellence, Finance teams across the Agencies and Cluster to continuously improve the Month End Closing Cockpit activities and ensuring compliance with the Month end timetable.

We are looking for a motivated and hard-working individual who has the capability to continuously improve the Month End Closing Cockpit coordination process and has experience in overseeing and coordinating Month end activities.

Essential requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in accounting, commerce or in a related discipline and eligible for or progressing towards membership in a recognised professional accounting body
• Sound working knowledge of IT systems, including the ability use Microsoft - Excel, Word and Power Point at a proficient level.
• Sound analytical and problem solving skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility
• Past SAP experience is preferred
