About the role

Working with the WorkSafe 2030 Strategy team, this role will provide authoritative strategic analysis, evaluation and advice to senior management on WorkSafe's strategic approach.  The role operates in a multi-disciplinary team, and works closely with the WorkSafe 2030 Stream Lead - Value. 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Provide strategic advice, analysis, and reporting services particularly as it relates to the Business Case for WorkSafe 2030
• Contribute to the ongoing development, design and implementation of the WorkSafe 2030 strategy across the key streams of capability, value, service and digital & CX, with particular focus on benefits planning and delivery and realisation of financial, economic and social benefits Strategy 2030 drives
• Use quantitative and qualitative data as well as draw connections and integrate data to identify developments and/or determine the potential significance of issues to WorkSafe's business
• Present value added information in a way that enables senior management decision making and/or enhances their understanding of complex, strategic issues, opportunities, or problems
• Lead and conduct analysis and evaluation of WorkSafe programs and operational strategies and tactics as required.

Skills & Experience

• Highly developed analytical and numerical skills
• Extensive experience in undertaking analysis, research and providing insights on the significance of an issue/developments to an organisation's business
• Strong facilitation, research and analytical skills and the ability to utilise data to assist others to make decisions
• Demonstrated ability to lead work with colleagues to deliver high quality outputs that meet the defined high level directions
• Demonstrated ability to liaise in a professional manner with a diverse stakeholder group (internal and external) including senior management, employer groups, unions and internal stakeholders
• Higher level tertiary qualifications in economics, business, statistics, and/or mathematics, or other relevant field is desirable
