Department of Transport and Main Roads / Brisbane /
- Temporary full time for 3 months with a possibilty of an extension
- Salary in the range of $73,055 to $80,336 per annum excluding superannuation.
- Employer superannuation contributions of 12.75%, annual leave loading of 17.5%
The Data Analysis team, within Land Transport Safety Branch, is responsible for providing road data to the general public, media, local governments, organisations, TMR and Queensland Government representatives to support the development of effective road safety policy, legislation, enforcement, education and engineering programs.
As a Data Analysis Officer, you should be able to demonstrate ability in computer information systems to extract, manipulate and analyse data from relational databases, using speadsheeting and work processing software, statistical analysis applications and Geographic Information System (GIS) software
Accountabilities include:
- Use query, analysis, database and data manipulation tools, such as SQL, MapInfo, TRAILS, for registration, driver licence and road crash analysis
- Prepare and distribute statistical information
- Draft reports, briefing notes or similar of medium complexity
- Maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Design, develop and deliver training materials & programs for clients
- Deliver tasks individually or as a team within quality, cost and time constraints
- Provide a range of project of business support activities, such as research and analysis, preparation of graphs and statistics
