The City of Ryde is a modern local government organisation with a workforce of over 500 employees who deliver a diverse range of services to our community.
Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager to make a major contribution to the lifestyle of residents and businesses within the City of Ryde.
Reporting to the Director of Customer & Community Services, your primary focus will be to lead your team to deliver high quality services to our community. The range of services provided is extensive and includes the provision of community services, home modification & maintenance services, ranger & compliance services, immunisation, domestic animal regulatory and community & cultural buildings leasing and licensing.
As a natural leader you will have the experience and drive to hit the ground running and be the key player in building and maintaining relationships with a wide range of community, business and not for profit groups. You will also be a member of the Directorate’s senior management team and have the opportunity to actively contribute to the development of community focused policies and initiatives in one of Sydney’s most dynamic local government areas.

Key Requirements
- Degree qualifications in a Community, Social or related discipline, or have extensive experience in a Community Services or similar role in Local Government
- Proven experience as a senior manager in a fast paced, client focused environment
- Strong business acumen with a track record of developing and implementing business improvements
- A personal commitment to providing high levels of customer service together with a strong results focus
- High level interpersonal and negotiation skills
