Permanent Full -Time - 35 hours, 5 days per week
Salary: Salary will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience and competencies of the successful applicant. This position includes a Leaseback Vehicle or Vehicle Allowance.

The Manager, City Design and Public Domain will be responsible for exceptional urban design and public domain outcomes.
You will initiate and develop design concepts, strategy and advice to create great public places and lead a specialist team in the fields of urban design, landscape and public domain design, heritage, and traffic engineering and management.
The Manager City Design and Public Domain role is Council’s leading expert on the design of the City, buildings, streets and the public domain and establish Liverpool’s reputation as a leader of high quality and innovative design approaches and outcomes .
This is a high profile, challenging and rewarding position leading a passionate and driven team. To be successful you will need to demonstrate your skills and experience relevant to this role, in particular how you meet the following three key criteria:
- Relevant degree qualifications and extensive practical experience in the relevant areas
- High-level skills and experience in leading and managing a team of experts working on complex design processes and projects including consultants, with proven track record of success in delivery of urban design and master planning outcomes
- Experience in high level negotiations with politicians, senior level government agency staff, non-government industry bodies and private sector interests
