We now have an exciting permanent opportunity available as a Pole Truck Driver & Yard Operator (Distribution Operator) in our Larapinta Depot as part of our Operational Support Team.

The Distribution Operator is responsible for a range of duties include yard work, delivery and collection of poles and materials from various job sites and inventory tasks to assist in the achievement of our strategic objectives and operational performance targets.

The position is responsible for:

• Providing support as a safety observer and actively identify and implement risk control measures where needed.
• Drive and operate vehicles, plant, tools and equipment, while also maintaining and checking the operation of equipment.
• Monitor and maintain both material and stock levels, ensuring adequate stock is on hand.

To be successful in this position, the successful candidate will have:  

• A current minimum 'HC' class licence and a 10m/tonne Crane Licence (CV) (mandatory).
• Current Forklift Licence (LF) (mandatory).
• Experience with front end loader ticket would be advantageous and highly desirable. 
• The ability to follow directions and appreciate the physical requirements of carrying out manual work with the willingness to learn.
• Well-developed interpersonal communication skills to develop good working relations with team members and external customers. You must have the ability to identify and understand customer needs.
• The ability to participate in the on-call roster and work after hours, is required.
• The ability to travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work.
