The Role
The CX Senior Designer will lead the human centred design (HCD) practice at Yarra Valley Water. Operating within our newly created Customer Experience Division you will apply human centred design principles to optimise service delivery across the business. You will use your knowledge and experience to solve challenges in creative and human-centric ways resulting end-to-end holistic user experiences.

You will guide the team and wider business to hear and see the stories of our customers, and implement actions to improve customer experience. This will involve taking the lead on various projects through to completion, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and developing the HCD capability in the team.


Skills and Experience
You will be passionate about growing people-first services. A strategic thinker, you will have an inquisitive nature and be innately resilient. Further, you will be able to demonstrate experience in the following:

· Tertiary qualification in Business, Design, HCD or related field

· Extensive professional experience in product or service design using HCD principles

· Process improvement design and implementation

· Experience as Product Owner/Manager in Agile system development

· Successfully scoping, planning and executing projects in accordance with a phases & gates development process or agile development approaches

· Leading, developing and managing significant customer experience design projects

· Understanding and synthesizing user needs using a variety of practices

· Design strategy, trends and how they apply to brand and service/product planning

· Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, partners and “users”

· Demonstrated experience and capacity to work effectively with a diversity of colleagues and ability to influence the same across the organisation

· Experience with concepting, ideation, and iterative prototyping
